what is a Mad Ecm ?

What is the mad ecm?

i tried the search function, but you must have 4 characters typed out to do a search

If you guys know of any links and a quick overview, please let me know-

My truck is in the sig, 2002 3500 HO, 275s, superchips Dbox,4 inch exhaust,BHAF, Razors meth/water injection kit in the near future.

Con OFE on order once the stock clutch slips!

MAD ECM is the same as Catcher ECM just FYI.

The catcher is your stock ecm reflashed to put the engine torque curve way lower.Much improvement in throttle response and about 70 horse improvement.Bob Wagner,Wagner and associattes out of seattle sells them

From what I understand:

The ECM is programed to bring on a little more timing and more fuel at lower rpms than the stock ecm.

Since it is actually the ecm that is reprogramed it does it without the smoke and mirrors that the add on boxes use.

It definitely works and for the most part I leave my TST box turned off.

thanks for the links guys, been reading some of them.

I havent seen yet if the reflash is detectible if my truck went into the dealership?
My truck is still under warranty, so i would need my original ECM just in case it went to the dealer?
