what injectors?

Ok let me start off by telling the whole story. I have a stockpile of parts ready for install including : 3k gsk, 10 plate, kdp tab, gauges, sbc, and will be getting timing bumped to 16*.

now I'm thinking about injectors, my stock ones have 210k miles. kinda curious if maybe some aftermarket injectors should be on my list of mods. after these miles are my injectors wearing or getting carboned up?

Right now my plans still have the stock wh1c hanging on the side of the engine, and want to make sure the truck doesn't turn into a EGT monster or worse yet explode the thing. Wallet doesnt have enough to purchase a turbo but was considering the htt upgrades if I can do It myself without major machine work. Or should I just get a used hx-35 and have it turned into a hybrid?

this truck is used mostly for unloaded driving, but do tow during race season under 8000 lbs. But occasionally I do hook to some heavy stuff. sorry for the long post TIA.

If you dont mash it too much it shouldnt be really bad. The BHAF and pump timing will lower temps a bit.
The 370's are good bang for the buck, but need to be used along with something like 191 delivery valves so they dont stumble.
When I get to that point Ill probably go with a home-brew hybrid turbo since that seems to be the cheaper route. Depends on your horsepower. I think once you peak 350hp youll need to look at a different turbo.
Im spending the $$$ on the transmission soon so I cant do the 370s and the other mods Id like to do until mid-summer or so.

you can get a set of 370's for $300 or you could find a used set of 215's for around $150. if your lucky you could find someone going to laser cut dv's and they might trade you their 181's for your stock ones. i did this can't remember who i gave them to, but i gave them my 181's so they could have bigger dv's and i could still get my core charge back.

would 370s cause egt problems, when towing? I guess i'm gonna have to empty my wallet and just go all out and get injectors, DVs, and a turbo or two. .

Back to reality now, thanks for the replys I guess I will just satrt looking at 370s. are there any more choices for a 12v in a relative price range? thought I had read that they were smokey, due to spray pattern. and as far as DV what about the laser cuts? Are they too much fuel for me?

I have the laser cuts, and the 370s on the shelf at home

THey are ALOT of fuel, but my truck is a 215 pump. You will need the DVs to avoid that stumble that the 370s have with the smaller pumps like yours. 191s should be more than enough fuel. Take my advice tho, it also depends on what fuel plate you run, I currently run a 100, stock injectors, BHAF, and an HX 354 turbo with a 14 cm exhaust housing. I can still get my egts hott easily, but if i go easy on it towing is not a problem, and neither are EGTS.. Im doing this with a stock clutch mind u...

370s are smokey and haze, but taht is just because they are not designed for our pistons, they are designed for 370 hp engine pistons, If you want a better spray, take your stock injectors and have them honed out to flow like 370s... still for 300 bucks tho? u cannot go wrong with 370s.......

If your truck is a 95 as in your sig., you should already have an HX35 stock. A #10 plate anywhere but stock will be pushing the stock turbo on boost and your egt's. As far as injectors go, you get what you pay for. A lot of people have ran 370's, and when they get tired of the haze, smoke, stumbles, etc. they buy a high quality injector designed for our engines. I went straight to EDM'd injectors and am very happy. JMO, as I would rather spend a little more money once, than good money after bad. But then again, I bought an older 12V because it was less money, knowing that I could then afford top notch upgrades, vs. a newer truck that I could make the payments but not afford any extras!

the 95 in my sig is an early 95 model year truck, it came equipped with a wh1c. still wandering if the injectors with 210k are starting to show there age? And would I be better off just getting some bigger DVs ? The BOMBing bug has hit me very hard in the last little bit. Its a Shame my bank account can't keep up . TIA

370's will get very very hot quikly within about 5 seconds. as fare as laer cuts save your money until you get a bigger turbo, the smoke they produce is ridiculous
