What Else Might Break?

I have had my `01 2500 auto trans with 95K miles for four years now. I just had the lift pump and injector pump replaced last month (under warranty, lucky me.) Anyway, what else can be coming down the road as far as things breaking? I have heard really bad things about the auto trans. I have had it flushed twice now. Before the next one, I will adjust the bands. Haven't had any problems with the rear end yet. What can I expect there? And what else has Dodge put in these trucks that are turning out to be a problem?

I have a new Holly fuel pump, and will install the 304 4" exhaust next week when it comes in.

Anyone install a Bully Dog J-hook on the waste gate? Any good? Bad idea?

Also installed a Hypertech chip enhancement - is this thing any good? I wish I had seen this site before I ordered all this stuff.

Thanks for the comments ahead of time.

If it's a 4x4 then get ready for the track bar to go out on it if it already hasn't. The tranny's are actually a lot stronger than people think. I ran about 100hp extra through mine and never had a problem with. It sounds like your on the right path though. Keep plenty of pressure on the injection pump and it should live a long and happy life.

Agree with above....tranny not as bad as many think. Lots of variation in factory tolerances....if you have not had problems, you probably got a good one. Keeping ATF clean & changed often is big plus....I recommend synthetics if you work it hard. And do GAUGES FIRST...before adding HP!
J-Hooks are ok but not really needed. Get a Turnbuckle at a hardware store...works just as well. Do a search for more info.
"What else...Dodge problems" Rear ends have been no problem area, IMO.
Weak areas depends on which model you have. Fill in Profile and list your truck in Signature (under User CP) so we can give better answers....And Welcome to the DTR!
