discount gauges

finally time for some gauges...NOT looking for looks or cool glow in the dark colors or anything just functional and straight to the point...i can do the install myself...where would i search just for a fairly priced probe and the gauges?

400$ for gauges (just the parts) is not a reasonable price IMHO

I paid a touch under $300 for my autometer fuel press, boost, and pyro gauges with all the hardware and the triple pillar pod too. Then i paid about 38 bucks for fuel lines from genos. I got all my guages and pillar from a friend who work a an auto parts supply house, so i got his discount.i'd say if you pay less than $400 for it all you'd be doing pretty good.

www.dieselmanor.com

Boost, Fuel Pressure (without Isolator), EGT, triple pod with the paint, 1/8" NPT tap, boost bolt and every possible electical connector and realted tubing you could ever need. I mean everthing, zip ties, sta-kons, fuse, ring terminals & colored bulb covers to match the factorygauges.
Just over $300.00.

First time you have to replace one of those "discount" gauges you'll be right up into that price range anyway, without all the other stuff I mentioned.

If you are looking for some cheep gauges go to a big rig wrecking yard $10-20 each just for the gauge no line or fittings. You could be set up for like $150 with a pod.

Hmmmm ......... Cummins Engine Option ~$4500

Going cheap on gauges to monitor the engine's condition.........

Get the best gauges you can afford and only do the job ONE time.
Or get the essentials Pyro, and Fuel Pressure, and add the others as $$$ permits.

Pod alone is about $50.00, $8.00 for the paint, $12.00 for a decent tap, the Di Pricol FP gauge is about $10.00 cheaper than the Isspro, so on and so on.

You did well, but compare apples to apples.

Go to Genos and look at Westach. They will be right up your alley.

I put in a fuel press, tranny temp, and egt/boost combo and love them.

I also got mine from www.dieselmanor.com except the autometer tranny temp which was around $40(advance auto parts). I paid right around $215 for everything for my isspro's(boost, and pyro). Id say you could get it all from dieselmanor(boost, pyro, tranny) for right around $250. Check my gallery for a picture of my gauges. I love them. I like the isspro's better than the autometer, but i havent had a problem out of any of them.
