What else goes with exhaust brake?

I'm shopping around for an exhaust brake to install. My question is what else do I need for a stock 2001 with an automatic, besides the brake itself? I believe I've read that a better torque converter is necessary.

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong..... but as I understand it, you will need the e-brake and a transmission control box to go with it. I've also been told (by a tranny shop) that most stock lock-up converters won't last long with an e-brake and should be upgraded. They also told me that the stock input shaft it's up to the increased torque placed on it and is prone to twisting so the input shaft should be upgraded as well.

You will need something to keep the trans locked when you let off the fuel or the brake is useless. DTT sells a smart controler that works great, but you should upgrade the trans or it won't hold up too long.

Additionally, heavier exhaust springs to keep from floating the valves.

Sorry, I guess that's just for us 12-valvers! Ah, 12 vavles4ever!
