What Cam should I use???

I need some idea's for a camshaft that will make high rpm power from around 2500 through 4000+ rpms. I have a custom turbo that the boys in the turbo shop at IIS and myself built and need to thump that bad boy hard. The head will be ported to the max with a ZZ fab intake. What is need to put a roller cam and how much are they?? Or do I not want to go that extream? Any thoughts?

I dont think id go with a roller cam unless youre really just wanting to go all out. They are a lot of work from what I understand. Ive heard a lot of good things about the helix 2 cams from don m, so thats what i went with. Im waiting on the head to get here so i cant put it back together and tell you how it runs just yet. On F1s site it says that the helix 2 is good up to 4000rpm, but others have said it does well beyond that also.

Thanx bud, I will check them out. I have heard the same thing about the roller cams and that they are alot of work. Ya if you would let me know how that cam works out for you when you get it together.

If it's not going to be a daily driver, the Helix 3 may be better. It doesn't get power until later, but it's supposed to keep going past 5k RPM.

I have an idea, you could buy both, then give me the one you don't like!

It sounds like you'll have quite a fun truck; let us know how it turns out.

Who's building a roller cam for a cumming engine??? Mine is just a typical solid flat tappet cam. PDR builds a good cam to as well does Haisley. I would buy a billet cam that has a 12v lift pump lube on it. If your looking for an all out race/puller cam your gonna have to fly cut your pistons. You will also need new valve springs. You running a P pump? If you are buy bolt on cam gear cam.

Ya the pistons will be fly cut and the head will be loaded with all the good stuff. I am running a p pump so that would be a good Idea. I'm trying to make a street/strip truck that can be drivin on the road but I now its not going to be real driver friendly, it's already a beast on the street with the engine thats in it now. I was thinking of going with a bullet cam, has anyone tried them?
