What is the best to do.

My truck 02 3500 has a VA box,but I would like more power in this truck.Would a set of injectors with 60 or 80hp or replace the VA box with a EDGE comp box with the pump wire tapped be the best way to go ???

The reason I posted this question because I was told that putting in a set of injectors with the box I have would not make that much of diff. in power. ???

Re:What is the best to do.

You will definantly see a difference in power with a new set of injectors. If you are only looking for a little more go with a set of Bosch 275hp injectors (+40hp) or if you want more than that go with a set of Diesel Dynamic Stage 2's (+80hp). I would not change the box on that truck because the VA is a jewel.

If you wanted to just add electronics and not injectors go with a fueling box such as TST PM3. You will probably see 100hp with these mods on the top end but then your waranty on the VP44 is definantly shot. Either way it is your choice on how you want to make the power.

I agree with the post about you being able to see/feel the power of adding injectors, but...

You can't take a VA (say 60HP) and add injectors(say 80HP) and expect to see a net gain of 140HP. It doesn't work like that...Your net gain at the rear wheels would probably be more in the range of 100-110HP...

Disclaimer: some dynos may vary... ;D

A net gain of 100-110hp at the rear wheels is more than I would get if I just changed the box to a EDGE COMP they claim a max of a 120hp and I'am sure that is only at the fly wheel not the rear tires.
