what is this?

My dads friend is looking at buying an 01 6 speed dually, and pictures are the only thing i can look at to tell him what to look for in buying this truck...the only thing, i dont know what this green and black box is on the truck. any ideas?

Not all of them. My Quadzilla Adrenaline is mounted in the same spot. Only the Pulse control panel is in the cab. There is probably a switch under the dash somewhere to control that. Should be a three position switch. High, Low, and off. Off would most likely be in the middle.

One of the first things to do on this truck:

Reroute the cable that goes from battery plus to a nice place to chafe on the battery holder.
If you are in a real good mood, a fuse could also be installed.

About the box- over here we have some ultrasonic rodent repellers that look quite like the box installed there.
