For some reason I have a feeling my VP is slowly failing, less power then before, even with the EZ but today it was COLD and this is what happened.

The truck wasn't plugged in or started for the last 3 days. started just fine, some snow on the ground drove it easy to work, got the engine up to temp and the trans up to about 140* hot line so I felt good about shutting it down to go into the office never on the skinny peddle. About 5 hours later, colder still, I left the office. Grid heaters were working full time but everything was fine with the start. On the drive home the engine and trans were up to temp and a 1st gen was a few cars ahead that let out a belch of black smoke (a passing situation and shifting gears), just for grins at the next light from a stop I tried to blow some coal and made zero smoke (smoke is not my style but I had no power either) normal stock feeling but not the EZ stock feeling if your under modded like me Fast foreward a few hours, I had to run out again this evening and still no power, cold engine, had to gas the skinny peddle and then all the sudden 2200 rpm the engine was alive again and it was that way for the entire trip.

Ideas? EZ, VP, diesel fuel? I did put in some PS just before I left this evening but I had a constant 16+ psi on the gauge so I'm doubting additives as the fuel wasn't jelling.

So what's going on?

 

My Edge Juice/att is acting the same way. Mine seems to be petering out at 2500 rpm or so. Does'nt feel like it did a few weeks ago. Then again, I have had turbo timer issues, so mabye there are more issues with my box. We have similar mods. I don't think it is my VP. Then again, that just may be my wishful thinking.
