WASHER GSK TO BOSCH GSK, anyone???

Hello,

I used to have a 94 with a bosch gsk, and it seemed to get more fuel than my 96 with a washer gsk. The 96 pulls way better with the gunracer1 washer mod than it did before, but I am trying to decide if I should upgrade or not to a bosch 3gsk?? Please share your experiances.

thanks

previous owner of my truck had a pump shop do his pump, and it had a 3kGSK in it... well, aparently they just shimmed one of the springs to get it to do 3000rpm. It ran strong and pulled hard to 3,000rpm.

after trying to make it a 4k and finding the shimmed springs and it not running right no matter what I did, I bought a complete 4k kit, and the thing fuels SO much harder below 3,000rpm than it did before.

nothing against Mike, he's a good buddy of mine, but I would recomend a "real" GSK 100% of the time.

Thanks Forest,

That is what I was kinda thinking. I think Mike is a great guy as well, I am just wondering if it might work better to install the bosch stuff. I still think the washer thing is good for people who are not power nutso (much better than stock).

any other imput appreciated:.}

Just FYI!, if you're looking for a 4K kit I could probably help...I won't be needing mine anymore

I have a 3K it in the 95, and it'll pull all the way to 32-3300RPM, and free rev to 3600 Not bad for a 325K mile pump that's been beat pretty hard the last couple years!
The 98's getting something a little more exotic courtesy of Jeff Garmon...at least that's what he told me on the phone. I'll know soon

Chris

i put the washer gsk up for the guys that want to mess with there stuff. it does not fuel as hard as the 4k springs. i even put 2 washers in one of my pumps and tried it. it still did not fuel as hard as the 4k kit from piers. i still like the washer mod, but it is not the best for all out preformance.
