WARPSPEED Exhaust help!

Any one with the warp speed or similer 4 inch system if you could measure straight pipe that goes inbetween the down pipe and the muffler. Mine seems to be way to short and I am now stuck at work with no exhaust on my truck, and no way to get ahold of anyone at warpspeed.

The directions said you might have to cut one of the pipes to fit. 4" rings a bell. We installed this exhaust on my buddies 01 ext cab long bed and without the muffler, we had just enough pipe to make it straight pipe. We did have to weld the tail pipe to the rest of the exhaust since the ends weren't flared.

If i cut any it would be way way to short. If I Install the down pipe then the straight pipe then the muffler then the arched piece that clears the axle. That piece that goes over the axle is about 1-1 1/2 feet forward of the axle. I hope this makes sense to someone other than me. Also where the first hanger mounts to the tranny cross member. If I tighten the clamp where they say to right on the seam of sown pipe and the straight pipe the hanger doesn't even come close to making it to rubber bushing on the truck. I think they hosed me

If you could get some pics up that would really help. On my buddies we installed the down pipe, then a straight piece of pipe with a clamp on it and it fit right in the tranny mount. After that was another piece of straight pipe I think and then the axle piece. I'd get some pics but it's pouring outside. As soon as it lets up I'll get some pics up here.

bigair, my Warpspeed 4" is still sitting in the box in my basement at home. I'm at work now.....too much work. Anyway I looked at it quickly the other day and I remember the following... the downpipe, two sections of straight (one longer than the other), the piece for over the axle, and the stainless tip....oh and the muffler of course It all looks to be correct.
I think they may have accidently shorted you a piece

I can check for sure when I go home for lunch to get measurements and see exactly what is there. lmk know if you want me to do that.

Your kit should have included the following...

1 down pipe
1 long straight pipe (around 3 feet)
1 short straight pipe (around 1.5 feet)
1 muffler
1 over axle/tailpipe
1 tip

If you're missing any of those, call them at 866-801-9338

As far as fittment... On exhaust systems, you need to get the whole thing assembled before even considering tightening anything (this includes the downpipe coupling), make adjustments, snug everything up, check for fittment again, make adjustments if nescesary, and tighten everything up. Don't read instructions, just use your best judgment.

Sorry to hear you're having trouble. Mine fits very well.

I re-checked mine last nite....going to install it today. It has:

1 down pipe
1 long straight (with welded hangar for tranny mount)
1 straight (same length as muffler) (muffler delete)
1 shorter straight
1 muffler
1 over axle/tailpipe
1 s/s tip

So seven pieces of piping total, plus the clamp/hardware bag.

Glad to hear they're getting you straightened out

Does anyone have any soundclips of a cummins with the warpspeed muffler? Is it louder than stock? Does it sound similiar to an aeroturbine?
