Want dual Exhaust

Well i really want stacks, but my cap prevents this from happening and i need it for work . So my next thought was running dual tail pipe, exiting on each side behind the tire. I already have an MBRP 4in exhaust and i contacted them about seeing if i could purchase the splitter and the other tail pipe, but they told me it would be cheaper to buy the complete Cool Duals kit. I find this hard to believe. Has anyone modified there single exhaust into a dual exhaust? I want to run another 4in pipe and tip on the drivers side of the truck. Thanks for any help that you might be able to give

I'm running a Motoblue 4" dual exhaust. Each pipe exits under the rear corners of the truck so the smoke soeant stick all over the side/rear of the truck. no complaints wish i would have gotten it sooner.

CTD2001,

They are right, the only parts that interchange are the down pipe and the 1st intermediate pipe, all the other parts are different. And it's very specific on a Dodge as you have less clearance than other brands too! Call us if you have any questions etc.

I was warned about any kind of air bag and the left pipe being too close.. for what it's worth. Can any vendor confirm/deny this???

I've just about decided to get a 5" MBRP, as badly as I want duals...unless the MBRP WILL work with air bags?

In your case,

option 1: Go to RipRook and get the rear duals pipes ($285) with the splitter, move your muffler slightly forward and run that, or...
option 2: Take your 4" MBRP and sell it, and put that towards the price of a full "cool duals" system from MBRP. (That's what I'd lean towards)

MBRP actually has a muffler that is used in a duals set up that is a single 4" inlet and a dual 4" outlets. I would be glad to see if this item really does exist. Contact me and I will see what I can find out. Thanks!
