Walbro 392 Installed!!!

I received my walbro pump today from the ups man. I went right to work installing the new and dismantling the old, failing lift pump. Install went very smoothly. Cranked it up and checked for leaks, backed out of the shop and took it for a test drive. At idle its at 20psi wot 18psi!!!! Finally good fuel pressure. Seems like it pulls slightly harder through the gears.
If you're on the fence about this upgrade I highly reccomend it.
Thanks, Richard at Glacier Diesel Performance.

Where are you placing the pump on the 2nd generations? How noisey is the pump? I have a campaign pump and the vulcan kit i was going to install but have held off because they claim the relocated stock pump is very noisey under the cab.

It is located right in front of the fuel tank. You can not hear it at all unless you put your ear right beside it.

That sound like a good way to go. Did you but a pump and relocation kit or just a pump?

Thanks. How long did it take you to install? Did you install the optional pre filter?

Running Walbro 392 now for close to 20,000 miles, only way to go. At 20 PSI which is 1/5th of the walbro rated psi,it probably will never wear out, you know if you have a pump that from new that only puts out 20 PSI, it dont take much wear to start losing pressure, theres no reserve, its downhill right from the start, but if you have a pump that puts out 100 PSI but only run it at 20 PSI,its never under load or stress, should last a lifetime, well at least the life of the truck.

Price

How much is the kit, i just got a new lp, It was like almost $200. The guy at the dealership said this was the last one they had and that next time I would have to put the in the tank one like the third gen conversion. I run 15-18 idle and like 11-12 WOT.

What are you using for a pressure regulator? I don't see any regulators on the sight for Glacierdieselpower.com.

I would like to do a replacment for my stock carter pump, but I already have a vulcan kit. I wounder if I can do it?
