VP-44 or Something else?

Looking for a little expertise here gents. I have been having issues with my '01 2500 Ram for quite some time with regards to get up and go power. Yeh I've heard the stories of the crappy VP-44 and the dead pedal syndromes guys are having. Not to mention the FASS issues. (Ran truck with stock pump for 3.5 years before FASS.) Still others have had problems with APPS, Throttle position sensors, Air Intake sensors, MAP sensors and the like. I'm still not sure if the lack of power could be caused by any of these issues. I fully understand the problems with our fuel quality, but I run Stanadyne religiously. Currently, I'm having problems on Monday mornings getting it started. Seems as though the two day break causes a couple turn overs before final firing.
Previous troubleshooting: FASS has tested good, pressure and all. Injector kill test at repair shop tested good. Any thoughs? Maybe need to pull the tank for cleaning? Maybe FASS lines clogged recently? Ultimately, I'm hoping to avoid a possible $1300 bill for a new VP-44. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

since its a 2001, have you checked for any codes? turn the key on/off on/off on and maybe a code or companion code will display in the odometer window.

"I have been having issues with my '01 2500 Ram for quite some time with regards to get up and go power." maybe its just slow, or is it slow when compared to others' trucks? 2001 has a torque management system to limit the amount of acceleration to save wear and tear on the tranny.

you have a FASS, but do you have gauges? maybe the FASS bit the dust...you tested it, but did you test it under load?

try reseting the APPS.

Is this symptom ONLY happening after the truck sits for a few days?

There was a member here recently who had issues with the fuel draining back to the tank because of a tiny leak allowing air into the system.

Just a thought.

I 2nd that diagnosis.

Leak will probably not be noticable, just a tiny pinhole, just enough to let a little air in and deprime the system.
Murphy's law states it will be in the most unaccessable point as well.
