Unhappy voltage make gauge reading wrong??

hi guys,im a regular gauge watcher,i know where all my gauges should be at at any given time, yetserday i noticed my voltmeter wasnt up to the 14volts{needle width above}it was sitting just below the line.and my pryro wasnt reacting as fast as it usally does, and didnt seem as hot as it should read.i have isspro gauges, can a little lower than normal voltage give a false reading?ill start checking things this weekend. thanx
