I have an 01 with the juice and its not shifting as hard as it use to. If I put a new valvebody from dtt will it shift hard. Do these valvebodies come shifting hard? Also I noticed since day 1 when I put my chip on 6 I can get the TC to slip a little bit under hard accel from 45. Will a valvebody help this? I'm a mechanic but I dont know much about trannys. Thanx,

Paul

Yeah a nice valve body from DTT should make it shift nice and firm. They can make it shift from firm to real hard, it's all in how you tell them you wnat it. And the new valve body will have much more line pressure to keep your converter and clutch packs from sliping under a load.

You can put a valve body in and it will help alot but you need to put a better converter in to. If your slipping it now wich any of the higher setting will do to stock its not worth putting just a vb in cause the old converter will shed material and block up vb parts and give you problems. Put in a good vb and converter and as long as the rest of the trans is in good shape youll be able to hande 400+ alright. But if your gonna add more bombs down the road (injectors turbo and such) your better off doin the whole trans. It better to do once than 2 or 3 times. I am on my 3rd trans now hopefully the last. they suck to keep puliin out to work on and then cost of fluid every time. I recomend once , do it right and be done with it. I personaly think the built trans is the bet mod you can do to the truck. It is night and day from stock.

"Its not shifting as hard as it use to". Have you pulled the pan and changed the trans oil. Look in the pan and what do you see?

Tranny

Yes all is good in the pan. When I got the truck they told me they just had work done to the tranny, but were not sure what. It shifted so hard it would almost chip the tires, now it just jerks you.
