van aaken v5 problem

Last night I went to install my VA v5 and all seemed to go well until i started the truck. The cel came on and when i drove the truck it was real sluggish and eratic. All of the connectors snapped into place. Is it poossible for the plugs to not fully seat even if they click into place. took all the wires off and went back to stock truck runs fine but cel is still on. What do i need to do. Also there is an extra plug with the plug that goes into the map sensor do you just let those hang down or do they go somewhere. I was under the impression that it was just 2 pugs the map and data linkThanks

You should be plugging the VA into the MAP and the MAP back into the VA. Sounds like the MAP is not plugged into the VA harness.
If your truck is a 2000-, check what code it is throwing. I can almost bet it is a 0237.

To check the codes. turn the ignition to run and off twice, then to run and the odo will display any code.....Do this without starting the truck...

Good advice and even better easy fix. The code will clear after enough uneventfull starts or you can go by autozone and have it read and hopefully cleared for free. I love my va but fyi it sometimes throws an overboost code when I'm on it hard passing with a downshift. Good Luck.
