I just installed my switch for my Van Aaken smart box. I cant tell a difference between any of the modes, should I be? Also it's Suppose to have boost fooling yet I can throw an over boost code at 26lb of boost. No other codes show up during daily use. Is it possible my chip is no good?

Just for the sake of others I figured I'd repeat the PMs we exchanged. I think there is something wrong with your VA or with the wiring to it. There should be a fair amount of smoke even with stock injectors under aggressive acceleration. On 100% power my truck with M1.6 will roll coal for 500 feet, and my friend's stock injectored truck will not be far behind on smoking. We both have to mind the right foot a lot or it will smoke.
When the unit is plugged in I don't get an overboost code even past 26 psi.

 

I agree with Paul on there being an issue with the box as I do not throw an overboost code either and have a boost elbow and the screw is cranked almost completely in.

On the smoke issue, Paul I think you're at high altitude, correct? I'm at sea level and don't get any smoke out of stock injectors - maybe a puff at startup and when I romp on it at night but I can't see anything during the day. I don't have a switch but can definately tell a difference in engine sound with the box connected.
