Can anyone tell me a little bit about these valet switches that I keep hearing about? How is it installed, and who do you get one from?

 

I might be wrong, but I believe they are there to keep others drivers(i.e.valet parkers) from running the *&^% out of your truck... I think the 6 Gun has that setting, but dont know to much about it. It kinda sets your power at it lowest...

 

For the 12 valve crowd, its a valve that cuts off boost signal to the afc, running the motor off only dv's and injectors (takes the fuel plate of the equation). this cuts power quite a bit, can be used when other people are driving your truck or to give a highly modded truck some street manners for wet roads, fuel milage, etc.

 

A picture of mine, went to Lowes and found one in the pipe/brass fittings area.

On the dyno, it ran 290hp valet on, no valet it ran 432, load dyno.
