I'm unsure if my vp44's going out or not....Truck goes down the road fine,then starts stumbling bad...sometimes dies. I got two codes,one is p0602. which was caused by my old hypertech i believe. .....The other was a p0370 which is a timing issue/speed sensor problem coming from the vp44...I pulled the plug on the hypertech and the problem has stopped,i can flog it for all its worth and i don't get the code anymore..And to further confuse things the first time this happened I assumed lift pump so I put in a fass system ....Everyone talks about the 0216 code being the kiss of death,just hoping I guess I get wined and dined first... so to speak.

 

Come on guys, just need to ease my mind b4 i spend that kinda money...anybody????

Do you have gauges in your truck? Fill in your sig so we know exactly what were dealing with. We need some info so we can try to assist you.

They both are probably being caused by the hypertech..I've got one...and I think that it is causing my p0216 code that I can keep consistantly getting. I am just gonna wait until the vp44 quits so the dealer will actually fix my truck. My truck does hesitate sometimes when it is on either stage 1 2 or 3, but when i program the truck back to stock....she may still sometimes get the code....but never acts up.

 

since you have a ca truck thr P0370 was probably set when you pcm lost contact with the ecm.

your pump should be fine

 

Thanks guys i'll get a signature filled out soon as i figure out how..I've only got boost and pyro gauges right now.stupid I know, but I've got my attitude waiting in the wings.....Played with the truck last night and now its stumbling at idle once in awhile too..Only mods are 4" exhaust bhaf and hypertech chip. Lost lp 9 months ago and last weekend put in new fass after it was stumbling going down the road the week before.

 

Forgot to say that stumbling now without the chip in it!!! And unfortunately it's a cal. carb...
