Which type of Tonneau Cover

I would like to get a Tonneau cover for my '01 long bed and so far it is between the Extang Black Max and the Extang Tuff Tonneau III. The Black Max has a traditional snap on cover. The Tuff Tonneau III has some type of vinyl hook seal that you press into place. Does anyone have one of these newer type (like the TT III) of covers? How does it work. I looks like a good idea but I am wondering how hard it will be to put on in the winter when it is cold. Any other covers/brands out there that anyone can recommend?

Thanks

I like the K-Cover. It is a hard cover that is lockable but can be compressed to use 25% or 20% of the bed (depending on your bed length). It can also be removed easily by one person.

If you want a hard fiberglass cover for a short bed, PM me.

I just ordered the Tuff Tonneau last week because I don't like the look of the snaps. But it has the adjustable tail piece which is supposed to make it easier to put on in the winter. When I get it I'll let you know what I think of it.

i got a used soft cover that has the "slip over" fits, like Jeep windows, instead of snaps. not cold enough here to judge.

might try to get the one that hinges up, mine comes loose in rear, hinges up,
front foot or so stays clamped down.

keep a bungee in cubby hole, only way to get some stuff in there, is let back up, but BBQ grill, in bungee top down. all good.

beats going home, taking tonneau off, coming back....

I have a Tek-Style tonneau cover which has snaps that are moveable on a rail. FORGET about putting the cover back on if it's cold out. I've even pulled on the darn cover so hard that it caused bloody knuckles. This is one of the most sadistic things ever made by man... I can't wait for the thing to wear out so I can shoot it, burn it, etc just to get back at it!
