A/R being the constant ratio of the area vs the radius of the turbine housing. If interested in learning more, read here....

FYI - Best info I have is a Super B Special is a 64/71/14, with a .90 A/R.

The BD R-700 Race Twins (3rd Gen only) have a Super B Special on top and, I believe, an S400 under it.

I belive the R-700's still has the regular Super B with a S400 under it. The new R-850 uses the Super B Special on top.

I have the Special and it's alittle laggy but not all that bad I can live with it but I do have a 5-speed though. I would trade your Super B Special off for just the regular Super B.

Here is some more info about there turbo's.

You may be right about R-700 using Super B.
Interesting chart....especially since BD's web site does not even list a R-850 twin set??

The other curious thing is I personally measured my BD primary and it is a full 66mm?

What/Who is source of this chart.

From what I have hear the R850 uses the Special with a S474 or S472 I cant quite remember which one. I also know there is a guy running a set on a 2nd gen so they must be able to fit with out too much trouble. With these new VP44 coming out I have been thinking about the R850.

I run a SB special on top of a S475 with a .132 a/r. They spool well and keep things cool.
