I want to turnbuckle the wastegate shut to gain a little top end. But, I'm afraid the extra boosta nd power would strees my transmission.

Does the turnbuckle trick make real power or just a little more boost? Is it worth it for a cheap poer mod?

I have a Power Puck, which has a boost fooler.

 

more boost doesnt equal more power.... unless your dumping huge amounts through your wastegate for some reason.


more fuel should give more boost.... and hence more power

 

I have always run my HX35 with the wastegate welded shut. Never a problem & it does create more boost as long as you add more fuel.
