Turbos

What is a good turbo that isnt the most expensive one on the market for the truck in my sig.? I am looking to get my EGT's down. I know anything is better than the HY that is on there.

I would think seriously about modifying the transmission before doing any more mods. With going with a larger turbo or larger exhaust housing you will lower the egt's, but in most cases add some power and i bet your trans, if it stock is at its limits already with just the box let alone the injectors. But for your app, you could step up a little to an hx35w with a 14cm exhaust housing, or go with a 35/40 hybrid. I think with your current mods that there is no need to go with much bigger than that.

I think the cheapest way for you to go would be a hybrid.A 35/40 w/ 14w exhaust housing.Dodgezilla makes one for around 1000.I think High tech turbo builds their own for less. They would work very good for your application.

An HX35 should probably keep that setup cooler. I ran the comp/275 combo for about a month and then upgraded to the KSB-1. But that's a very expensive upgrade. I'd say go with either a hybrid or the hx35 (factory turbo on the stick equipped trucks). One of those two should keep you cool and not blow your budget.
