Turbo Upgrade, Looking for suggestions

I will need to step up to a larger turbo in the near future to control hi (1400) EGT. I want to top out at 1200 degrees.
I have been looking at different variations of Hybrid hx35/40, 14cm w/g and 16cm non w/g. Also looking at Dogzilla, Hot Rod 40, KSB1, PDR Hx 40 and HTB2.
HP is currently at 370 range but do not expect to go past 450. It will pull my 5th whl and utility trailer for total pushing 12,000# extremely well.
If I put my foot in it, I always end up backing out of it due to cornering.
EDM's are 1.5 or 85 hp.
Looking for suggestions. What has worked for you?

Thanks, Brad

Which injectors do you have? Are you at altitude?

Dodgezilla has had good reports thus far (not a long history). But at 450 hp you would be back into high EGT's, IMO.

One of the B-1's will handle where you are - up to 450 hp easily. Probably the KSB-1 you mention. They are the toughest turbo out there..insuring trouble free service and long life. More expensive..but worth it, to me. Also the fastest spoolup in each size.

Don't know the Hot Rod 40?? Would not consider the others! Just my opinion based on what I have heard.

I did not mean to ignore the htb2. Have heard good things about it. IMHO, it is new and as yet unproven as to how strong and how much air it flows. Having been through the growth and trial & error process with the B-1's I would want to wait and see...just me. Their newest pricing is getting very close to the B-1 level, which has started to come down some.
Just starting on my second B-1 (upgraded to higher HP). Have been very impressed with relatively quick spoolup and 48 psi of cool air. Put 25,000 miles on first one with NO signs of wear & tear!
I hope the htb2 proves comparable...we will all benefit from the competition between suppliers.

Since your towing, this htb2 thread will be of interest if you haven't seen it.

Agree with Wils on the HX-40; designed for big rigs steady rpm demands...they don't seem to hold up well to lots of boost fluctuations which are standard in CTD's.
