I'm thinking of dropping back to a set of Mach 1.6s from my 4s since I'll probably never do all the work to effectively run the 4s to their full potential. I ran a set of DD2s (90 hp) for years with an EZ on the stock turbo. Never had an EGT concern with that setup. When I go to the 1.6s, I'll probably replace the KSB1 as well since it is starting to show its age. What would be the proper turbo with the 1.6s? Go back to the HX35? HX35 with upgrades? S300?

I still have the stock turbo, so rebuild/upgrade probably is most economical. But also looking to do it right once.

I run the HX35 w/the same Mach 1.6 and have had good results for all around town driving as well as towing. Setup has worked well. Also look at a modded HX40.
