Hello, Which turbo is the best for my needs ?? I have a 2001 ram see sig below. my newest add on are o-ringed head and headstuds a comp and a smarty. I am trying to control egt and turbo lag. I tow around 12k but also do a lot of highway driving 1200 miles one way non-stop probable twice a month. The truck will see some sledpulling this summer also thanks, jr

 

Anyone who tows needs a Super Stock 62 from www.htturbo.com They are unbelievably fast spooling & will support up to 575hp. It is also very good for sled pulling, street driving, but when you turn the box up to play.....hold on!

I see 600-800* driving. I see 1400* wot at 100+. I never see over 1200* towing 15k through the Mountains of WV & PA. I take grades 5-8% running 5 miles long with no egt problems at all.

 

How's spool up compared to stock?

 

Initial spoolup is a little slower....comes in at 1400 rpm, but once I hit 10psi....I see 45psi before I know what happened. It is seriously like a rocket got shoved up my tailpipe.

 

J Lent. Do you know anyone with the Quick Diesel 64 Stainless Steel? I'm wondering how the spool up is on a 64 Stainless Steel?
