Crappp!!!!!

Holy Crap Bat Man! I finally made my clutch spin at lunch. I was in 3rd and guned it from about 1300 RPM and something gave and then came back. We'll I guess I'll also be buying a clutch soon.....sorry honey! Do any of you have a spare bedroom I can stay in when I get home and tell her I bought a turbo, a down pipe, a clutch, and maybe some injectors? She must really love me!!

I sure wish Relentless Diesel made a artic air twins kit for the 02! I'd love to just add one to my HX35 for the same price as a new single! Someone will come out with one as soon as I buy my stuff!!!! Never fails!!!

Just to make sure, you saw my sig, right? Juice, AFE, 5" exhaust, etc....

I read the "if all you are adding" part and wondered.

Crap. I'll fix my sig. Yes, Juice/Attitude. And I just talked to Piers Diesel about the S300 and a clutch package deal and they are pretty affordable. I can do both the charger and a clutch for about the same price as the SPS62. Crap, here I go pinching somewhere for more somewhere else!!!

I've got a set of analog gauges & am gonna put the pyro probe for the analog gauge pre turbo so I can do some comparing, this thing has been in the pipe now since teh truck was new & she's yet to melt, I don't think theres as big of a difference in the pre vs. post on a 24-v as their was on my old 12-valver, but I'm gonna get it switched out before I give Chris a heart attack!!!!! LOL

Any Objections to one of these?

Any one run one or have bad experiences with one?
------------------------------
The PDR Super S300 is part of the Schwitzer S300 family. It is recommended as a replacement for the existing turbos on 1994 - 2002 Dodge RAM diesels. The Super S300 turbo is intended for moderately upgraded trucks that tow and/or for those running up to 400hp. Above 400hp you should consider the B1 Series or the PDR Twin Turbo systems.

Think HX40 air flow with HX35 spool up.

This is achieved by using Borg Warner's unique extended tip compressor wheel technology and low inertia, full-floating journal bearings. The result is a compressor that flows a decent amount of air, and yet has excellent spoolup. On the exhaust side, the Super S300 turbo comes with a 16cm dual volute wastegated exhaust housing.

The PDR Super 300 sound identical to BD's Super B. which I am impressed with. You might compare prices!
http://www.bd-power.com/ram/product....o%20Kit&tt=ram

I assume the Juice w/ ATT. is at least 120 HP? With your new injectors I think I would want the above, or at least a B1-2.... also an S300 derivative and, IMO, a great turbo! (say up to 450 HP +/- street and 500 'short shot' racing).

I don't think it would melt down...I've been way aver 1500 PRE turbo many tims, heck, I've been over 1800 a "couple" times

But if it did, at least you'd know why, or have a better guess...not "let's see, it was showing 1000, add 300, times boost, carry the one, divided by .68...I should have been 10* under"

Just giving you a hard time more than anything Dusty...you still wanna try that housing?? I forgot all about it!

The not as super phatshafts sell for less- $1390 for the ps62 at PDW. I voted phatshaft
http://www.performancedieselwarehouse.com/953154.html

But that PDR Super S300 sounds like a good deal for a limited budget. Give Doug a call at the above link- he's a knowledgable guy who'll make a good recommendation plus he sells Piers, HTT, and II turbos =P

I'm hoping Doug will give me a good price on my fall brawl secret weapon next month

THANKS to ALL!

Well, my friends, I think I have decided on one, at least until I think more about it. I have found a good deal, at least I think, on a PS62/14 in the $1300 range and a SB clutch for under $600. My buddy is going to get me those Jammer IV injectors and another said he'd swap me down pipes (I hope he still can). I hope this combination makes this truck scream like a cat with turpentine on its butt. We'll see.

THANKS TO ALL WHO CONTRIBUTED THEIR OPINIONS! I greatly appreciate your help and I have learned a huge amount about turbos this week. I guess since it is Friday and almost lunch time, I should really do some work this week!

Just a little update.

All the goodies are installed and this mother will fly!!!!! WOW!

That PS62/14 loves to bark while making 42 PSI. I'm sure I'm over 400 ponies now, but will try to Dyno sometime in the future to see for sure.

Thanks again for all the posts! JWB
