Turbo match question

I have a edge ez and am going to get mach 1.6 injectors. I live at 6000 elv. and mostly tow 6000lb at that range. What would be a good turbo that would cool and yet spool quickly?

your signature needs filling out but if you have
an auto you can J hoock the waist gate or step up to an hx35 12cm. or your stock hx (if you have a stick) should be easy to control egts big turbos don't as far as spool up .my hx35 seem to work well a high alt. my.02

I understand my hy35 has only a 9cm wastegate. Would cutting out the divider on the wastegate help cooling? Anyway to upgrade the stock auto turbo for a little more cooling other than the jhook? thanks

You could get a hx35 from the dtr classifieds pretty cheap for a marginal improvement. You could also look at a super b. The compressor won't be much bigger, but the hot side will be less restrictive and should still spool pretty quick.

Phatty gave good advice, imo.

Remember that in thin air, spoolup is HUGELY important-- and if you go too big with a turbo you will be hating life for having turned your truck into a smoke belching paperweight.
