Talking Turbo installed

Installed the HTB2 today! Just a little laggy but man the top end is so much better. Just get on it while doing around 30mph and your doing 90 to nothing in just a sec. Really compliments the Mach 4's. Will be going to the local track tommorrow, just have to see what it will do.

Regards,
Gene

how does the lag compared to the stock hx35? i'm wanting to go with a HT or similar but dont' want the lag. I'm seriously considering twins but haven't done enough research on them yet. I want to know what would be better for fuel mileage a good single with 1.6's or a small set of twins with 1.6's ?? I don't know what the minimal size stick is run a set of twins?? I really don't want to have the truck down to do the head work, but don't know if I can do it myself, which I would prefer. I've heard a lot of good things about the HTT but I already can feel the lag with the comp and the hx35. I am considering the Catcher but dont' know if I want to hassle with the twins.?? I really want to get to 400-425 hp but don't want to put out a lot of smoke or lag. What kind of smoke/egt's are you puttin out with the 4's?? How long can you stay in the "gas"??

Compared to the stock turbo the lag is noticable but not a killer. With the stock unit, I could smoke the tires and exhaust with no problem but ran out of push late in the 1/4 mile. When I had the stage 1 injectors the truck ran good, actually had a couple high 14sec 1/4 mile runs but EGTs were out of sight. With the HTB2/Mach 4's the exhaust smoke actually seems less. The extra lag is nothing, cause after it does spool up your all smiles until you realize this thing will not stop accelerating, then you get a little nervous . EGTs will get to 1400/1500 WOT quick but your knocking on the century mark at that time . We will probably take it to the local track today. There is a PowerStroke that runs a 14.2 sec 1/4 mile, I'm hoping he shows up . I think you would be satisfied with the single turbo as much as the twin set up. Ive never had twins but this HtB2 seems to scratch my itch at this time.
