I was told this was a variable geometry turbo, with HX 40 wheels...

Anybody have any ideas?

 

i've had the bigger version of that turbo for a while now. haven't done anything with it because it requires a variable air source to control the actuator. and you CANNOT just hook it up to the manifold (intake or exhaust) pressure, no matter what anybody tells you. the stuff inside goes the wrong way for that to work. parts are NOT available for these turbos either. that's through cummins, holset, and high tech turbo (the holset distributor for most of the rocky mtn. states). they can get you documentation, IF you're reeeeally nice to them. now, don't get me wrong, i'm not trying to discourage you. just letting you know what i've found so far. if you want more info, pm me with your phone #.
