i have no experience with either but you need something more like those, plus hx40's aren't too strong but for 350 it seems pretty good, but your would probably outgrow it quickly and it depends on what you use your truck for towing, racing, sledpulling or a just a daily driver with very light towing. and it depends on what you hp goals are.

good price, but you would have had to send it to htt to have it upgraded you probably need something bigger than that. but that turbo would be a nice start. go over to newenglandturbodieselpower.com and join up there we have a get together every friday night in derby. lots of people from ct in it, and other NE states.

 

I have basically the same turbo as this. Spools lightning fast and I have my Adrenaline set to defuel at 45 psi. I hit that mark all the time. Good turbo.

The HX40 has a small/weak shaft. Bark the turbo a couple of times and the shaft will break.
