Triple turbo sysytem

Any body got any pics of a triple charger system? Also, what is the next size up from an HT4C?

Lots of views but no responses. Guess I'll have to make a kit and post a pic.

You really want tripples.... Next size up from a HT4B is probably an HC5A... Hope your gonna turn a lot of RPM's... I say go for it if you really want...

Like how many rpm's you talking about Horace? I was thinking of either an HX35 or 40 for first stage, H2 or HX55 off of an ISM (4" comp. outlet) for the second stage, and something like a T18A44 or *** for the third stage. I have been eyeing an HC5A but it is hard to find a small exhaust housing. Could the HC5A be spooled up enough in a triple system with about 4200 - 4500 rpm's? SS

Yes I think you could if you hybrid it out with a small exhaust housing. If you went HX55 you would need one with a large compressor wheel... even then I think you might want to go larger... I think 40/18, hybrid(4in outlet) 3B/26, hybrid HC5A would work at 4500 rpm's... but you would probably be pushing 175psi of boost... Sounds like a fun project to me. I really don't think it would be too hard to build... just have to hang the HC5A under the truck with a small electric oil pump to get the oil back to the pan. Where's my welder?

Well, actually I am going to make a manifold that has the flange at the front of the motor. It will dump to the second stage as most kits do. I think I will bring the third stage back up near the fender near the battery. Exhaust will dump on the outside of the frame rail. What kind size exhaust housing should I look for on the HC5A? Do you happen to know what the smallest factory size was that was made? Thanks SS

Here is a HX40, a HX55, and a HC5A monster for scale.

I think I may use a HX55W with the 4" compressor outlet for the middle stage. Again, I am not sure I can find an exh. housing small enough. The HC5A is on the way, already have the 40, and can get the 55 for about $300. I will probably be able to build the set for about $1000 with turbos in factory form.

These 55's are quite a bit larger than a standard 55. Compressor outlet is 4" instead of 3" and the exhaust housings are 27cm. I'm not sure if my source still has them.

An HX40w, HX55w, and HC5A will work together... The HX55 needs to have one of the larger compressor wheels for that series... The wastegated 27cm HX55 housing should be perfect for that charger at the second stage.
