Re:Transmission Valve Body

The DTT valve body runs about $450.00. I would really consider the other mods too, especially the TC which is a weak link in the drivetrain.
Tim

Freaghrain

ATS offers great products. They have the valve body for $465.00 and they offer the valve body kit for $294.00. I see you have 17 years of veterns status on transmissions so the kit may be ideal for you. Here is the number and link.

http://atsdiesel.com/products/products-dodge.html

1-800-949-6002

Edward

Lets all make sure this thread does not go the same direction that the last tranny thread did.

Re:Transmission Valve Body

I had a Trans-Go with a tourque converter before the DTT it worked until I started upping the HP beyond its abilities. One word of caution don't try any brake stands with anything other then a full aftermarket tranny they do some serious damage.

Re:Transmission Valve Body

??? I have the line pressures upped to 70-71psi @ 1000 rpms, was wondering what the vlave body kits such as the Trans-Go do that upping the pressures and adjusting the bands will not do? I was thinking about a triple-loc converter, and if it would benefit with a stock tranny? Any info, good or bad, is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Re:Transmission Valve Body

I went for a ride in both before making up my mind I rode on an ATS truck first then a DTT then made my choice based on price, location of installer and my overally impression of others and of course the company representitives. I made my decision and I couldn't be happier I would really recommend a test drive in each prior to choosing.

Re:Transmission Valve Body

Thanks for the input folks, I will toss it around and if I decide to offer it I should be able to do it at a price...say $225-$275 then mabey some shipping and it would be a Trans-Go kit...And I may be able to cover shipping also.

Just have alot going on and would not be interested in pushin it too hard or stocking valve bodys, They would be ordered and set up for the needs of that vehicle and like Jamie said a valve body and converter alone are only good for so much horespower.

Stakeman, Not sure what your refering too about this post???

Like I said my time is limited and this is something I would ONLY offer to MEMBERS OF THIS SITE!!! Not doing this for the money!!!

I would also like some feedback from the Founder and Administrators if this is something they approve of before making a final decision....Please feel free to e-mail or shoot me a message.

Tale Care,

Re:Transmission Valve Body

I was referring to the magical ability of auto tranny discussions to cause people to forget the site rules and their common sense about posting.

Re:Transmission Valve Body

I highly recommend you do you research when choosing your transmission I did and Im happy with how things came out. Others haven't been as lucky as me so just keep a heads up there is alot of BS out there in the aftermarket trans business and some will tell you anything to sell their product I know this because my DTT is tranny 3 after using local guys who couldn't hold any power I finally got a tranny that can hold its own on the road and it does just that.

Visit www.dieseltrans.com for the location my transmission came from.

Take Care and Good Luck!

Re:Transmission Valve Body

i'd pay $200 for a shift kit valve body if you did them. at this points, i'm just going to leave me tranny the way it is...but it's a possibly if/when i get a 24 dually auto in the future.

Jamie, what exactly did your stock tranny do with brakestands (what broke)?

If you drive it right, the autos can hold power....mine's been holding over 300hp for a long time. however, having some more converter apply pressure and better shifts would definately be nice.

I think it's a great idea though...good for someone to offer their expertise in a friendly way!

Re:Transmission Valve Body

Looks like I prob need to put the brakes on and stop this subject... I am still learning how this site works and did not realize I could be steppin on someones toes not to mention hurt DTR's realationship with the backing Companies that promote this club and help make things possible.

Anyway, Because of the Sponsors advertising which I was unaware of I would like to withdraw the offer I made. And if I rattled anyones cage in the process it was not the intended purpose....Sorry about that!!!

But if you do live in the Dallas Tx area and ever need help doing one give me a buzz and if I got time I dont mind helping a fellow DTR Brother out....Just cost you a Greasy Cheese Burger and order of fries 8).

Take Care,
