Tranny Help; deep pan or Syn Fluids
Still Looking for some help and feedback from users please
I have been thinking about installing a Deep Pan on my 47RE Tranny (I will be towing 13k lb RV). As I was searching the history on the forum a question came up.
If "Amsoil Synthetic" and similar products "drop your temps ~ 20 degrees" as advertised, then would more frequent use of these higher cost fluids be a better use of "scarce $$$" than a deep pan?
The 47RE has ~17 quarts of fluid in it stock!
Has anyone changed from ATF4 to "Amsoil Synthetic" or other prem fluids and seen 20 degree plus drops on your tranny temp gauge??????
Thanks, Bill

get both
Get both it's cheap insurance. I will be doing both soon and i never tow,but i'm planning twins,meth\water,bigger box. I think i'll go with the B&M deep tranny pan it ony holds 2 more quarts but has the filter extender so you can use the extra capacity. it's only 139 bucks compared to 250 -270 for the mag hy tec. I will use AMSOIL also.

The Mag hytec has the extender too, actually a much nicer one, long with the BEST pan money can buy. The quality is much higher on the MH
