trade in super B for bigger turbo?

The truck is as in my signiture but egts get hot on level 3 and up on the edge (1400,1500,1600) was thinking about a 62/71/12 or 14 or maybe even a 64?
Would I feel much difference in power or gain much power switching from the super B to a 62 or 64?

Anyone have any ideas for a good next step to more power with the truck?

Thanks

I run a super B special with bigger injectors and my egts are about 1400 at red line. I can't complain any about it now other than eventually I'll want more

Dont expect that special to spool anything like stock. Reallllll laggy on the bottom end but its brutal after if FINALLY makes it to 15 pounds of boost and lights.....

It spools real quick after it finally lights.......if you understand what Im saying. It takes what seems like forever for the turbo to build the first 15 lbs. of boost. Then it almost instantly hits 40+ psi but that first 15 lbs. takes a while.

That would be the Super B's claim, the Super B Special is much larger. 57mm vs. 64mm.

I like the super b alot but just is too hot when i want to use all my power.........so would a HTT or some other kind of turbo spool faster then the super B special?

is a 64/71/14 or 12 too big for me?

Canadianskye, upgrade that super b to twins. That's what I did and my egt's dropped unbelievably and my boost went UP!

Well got my special on. MAN you werent kiddin. LAGGY up to about 15 psi. Then hold on cause it spools very quick. Got my egts in check now with it though. With the single I could burry the 2000 Deg money meter with NO problems. I still being easy on this one to make sure its ok but aint seen over 1300 yet and oops never looked at boost at that temp...

Yep, too many people on here that havent actually driven a truck with a Super B Special on here..... I see stuff posted about it spooling fast nearly daily. The Special is like a non-turbo truck til 1700 rpm even with a Smarty, fuel box, big sticks......! But my lord when it finally lights its sweeeet! I MIGHT put one on my truck, but then again Id think my towing days would be over.

Hey man, I really am interested......does a good manifold REALLY help with the spool up of something like the Super B Special? I mean it would have to make a huge difference to make a big single enjoyable to me......I simply dont drive a cummins so it will finally make power at full throttle and 1700 rpm. Oh, and the amount of coal rolling required to get going is ridiculous with a big single. Sorry....rant rant
