Question Towing with stacks

Well I had the pleasure of my better half asknig when I was putting stack on the truck! Only thing is what about towing an enclosed trailer. From the 4 trips from Az to Or, the right side of the trailer now is much dirtier than the other side. Will stacks darken the front of the trailer excessively? Wanting to do 5" miters about 2"-3" above the cab. I was thinking of an "extension" pipe ( maybe 12") to slip over or into (to protect the finish) the stacks to try and get the exhaust to clear the front of the trailer. Any ideas, or just wash the trailer more often -Bob

I would say stacks would make it dirtier. Look at a big rig with a stack on one side. The stack side of the trailer is alway dirty on the top. I think you should get the wife to wash your trailer in a t-shirt.

One more thing to consider is the noise while towing with stacks will drive you nuts, at least for me it would.

Its a Quad Cab, he'll have plenty of room for a muffler if he decides he needs one!

true, already thinking of a donaldson, or a dynmax, as a "just in case for long road trips" Hmmm I like the washing the trailer thingy.

I didn't see much of anything when I towed the camper to muncie earlier this year. After 8 hours, I didn't even get dirty running my finger over the front corners of the camper. See my sig links for the stack setup.

brandon.

(Beat a duramax who thought passing a dodge pulling a 26' camper would be a easy. So yeah, the smoke did roll.)
