Towing mirrors are on the 12v!

I called local dealer today to see if they had the 94-02 manual towing mirrors. They are part # 82206157. They had them for $234, so I picked a set up and put them on tonight. I was nervous about taking door panel off, but I only had to pull loose two of the little plastic trees. This allows plenty of access to do what needs to be done. I will get before and after pictures up tomorrow. Very good mod and it gets rid of the chrome old school mirrors. They aren't power, but I won't be flipping them up very often. I would recommend this mod to those who want a new look and can't afford to buy 3rd gen bases and 2nd gen bases and do the swap. It took all of 1 hour and I started when it was half dark.

Yeah it looks pretty nice huh? I've been wanting to do this for a while but can't seem to pay $200+ for them. I recently broke one of my stock mirrors so I figured I would go ahead and do the swap now. I checked out ebay the other day and I can replace mine for like 30 bucks vs. 200 plus... can't decide, still got a broke mirror

I won't be towing a lot, but even folded in they are a great improvement over stock mirrors. The blind spot mirror is very helpful for manuevering in parking lots and city traffic. I just hope that I can still get to all those atm machines!

if your gonna do the swap i dont see the reason to leave them folded all the time, but they are better than the little mirrors

I will get pictures later. The reason I did the swap was for a better view when backing up and also for the blind spot mirror. I also did it because they look 10x better. I'm not one of those guys that believes in driving around with the mirrors flipped up for no reason at all. I'm sure there will be times when hauling hay or seed when they will be flipped up, but for the most part they will be down.

I will get some pictures up tonight. It's been raining here in Iowa for the last day and is supposed to continue through tomorrow, but I will do my best. It might be a couple days before I get pics with the sun shining.
