towing injector upgrades

I'm looking into some bigger injectors and wondering how big of injectors i can run with the stock turbo HX-35 and still be able to tow 10,000+ lbs up hill and not get too hot. I'll be putting on a adjustable boost elbow and fooler with them

I'd say a set of 275s would be ideal for you-- about 40hp more and no risk of overheating unless your at real high altitude or have a boost leak or something.

You can also run some Mach 1s as GREAT towing injectors-- really clean, great mpg, and lots of bottom end grunt.

DTR member "Shortshift" has a set of Mach 1s in the classifieds

I see Midwest Fuel Injection has the 300 hp marine injectors for $300. Whats the diff between them the 275rvs? I've also been thinking about getting rid of the stock chip on my truck and putting on an Edge EZ too. Any ideas on what the dealer was installing in these trucks? I bought this truck used and the paper work says i have one but I don't know what it is?

The only stock "chip" was the Torquus Maximus ECM from Mopar performance that would upgrade a regular SO to HO specs for power and tq.

Your HO wouldn't have this.

300hp "Marine" injectors don't exist. The only 300hp injectors for a 24V are for a limited-duty Fire Engine application, and they are exactly the same as the 275 injectors. If the same injector is used in both 275hp and 300hp engines, why not market them as 300s? That's what the marketing types are thinking, and they mislead and confuse people into thinking that they are something different than good old fashioned 275s.

There's only one person who knows what's in your truck, and it isn't me.

If you install an EZ and 275 injectors, you'll have a very useful and reliable combo that gets good mpg and will lay down around 300hp even, with about 700 lb-ft-- a great towing setup.

Thanks. Thats sounding like a pretty good combo. I'm gonna have to go by the dealer and find out whats on my truck before i do anything to it. I know a kid who's dad owns a diesel performance shop and he's gonna talk to him about getting me some parts at a good price
