which torque converter
which torque converter
Iam planning on haveing a local diesel performance shop "cummins specialist" build a tranny for me this winter. He recommends using a suncoast single disk converter for the way my truck is set up. I was wondering for that kinda money would you guys use the goerend triple disk or what do you guys recomend. Iam planning on sled pulling but not for a couple of years yet. Untill then just a truck.
I'm liking my DTT single disk. It's noticeably tighter around town than a few other trucks I've driven with triples. But each has it's place. Cant go wrong with big names like DTT, Suncoast, and Goerend.

12v rollincoal: Yes, you need a lockup converter. www.Goerend.com sells a good single disc for $650. I would reccomend a VB with a single disc especially though because they need the extra line pressure.
06er: I love my Goerend triple disc. Ill leave it at that.

you NEED a good valve body set up to run a single or it will never last. They require more line pressure to hold well when locked up. Call Dave at goerend and let him explain it to you. You will learn a ton and he is more then willing to take the time to explain it to you
