Too Much Smoke

Mods are in my signature but I get too much smoke on take off If try to lug it say start off in 2nd it will just bellow black if I take moderately if smokes heavy gray but too much
Should I play around with the fuel plate some more I really like the power or did I read somewhere there is a smoke adjustment screw

Thanks for all the help so far this old beast is really getting fun to drive

Move your AFC to the rear a bit. There is an adjustment on the front of the AFC that adjusts the foot height inside. If the foot is too high, then when you lug it on take off and give it some throttle, it will go underneath the foot and you get WAY too much fuel. The smoke screw is on the back of the AFC. It is more a fine adjustment to moving the whole housing. Move the housing to where you are close to where you want to be, then adjust the screw on the back to get it right. Adjusting the screw on the back will affect the preload on the spring inside, so you may have to readjust the starwheel as well.
