I can make one have lots of smoke and almost no power at all. I have nothing agaist smoke and I know very high HP trucks will smoke a lot but you don't have to have a lot to make good power even on a 12-valve were you have to find a happy medium between high HP and tow-ability. You have a very strong truck, much stronger than mine but did you read the 1st post Too Much Smoke. It starts " I am trying to lessen the smoke." Just making tons of smoke dose not always mean tons of Power. He didnt say he wants 600hp with no smoke. So just take it easy. And why is it when people don't think you have to block out the sun with smoke every where you go they say you are like Gale Banks like its a bad thing. What's wrong with being mature and responsible. Ask the guys in Stephenville, Texas what happend when every little high school and college kid started smoking out every body in town. Ask GasgonoFJ60. If you think it will never make us have to meet emissions then keep on and don't cry when your not able to drive your truck because it is not legal. Public image is what gets laws passed. Ask DaleReed about things like that. His barely passed. I love to see the smoke roll at the pulls, especially when its mine, but I don't want this to become like California. Sorry to get off topic. Ya'll have fun now.
Fair enough. You can make a fire breathing monster in the newer trucks and not have them that smoky, it is just difficult in the 12v's. Heck, it is pretty tough to not have a smoky 24v. I've seen plenty of 500hp CR trucks that are quick and don't smoke much at all until you are on them hard. Newer technology does have some advantages.

Sorry about the rant and if I went to far I have just had a realy long/bad week. I didnt mean to go off on you Tiger Rag. Thats a realy nice truck you got. I know that you cant get tons of power with out smoke. But you can get good power with just a good hase. I have a truck that Im working on for my soon to be brother in law and he is driving me nuts. Its the one in my gallery and I have done lots of work to it and he just brakes more and its driving me nuts. This is just becous he didnt want to fix a $35 clutch releas bearing. look at the pressure plate fingers. Theres a lot more wrong with it. had to rebuild the trans becous he floats the gears and dosent use the clutch and messed up the cyncros and a tooth on the 5th gear. I ordered him a clutch like mine and told him to use it this time. It is going to cost him$1500 at my dealer cost for all of this( clutch , and lots of other small parts and $750 for the trans becous he just kept driving.

No offense taken. I maybe threw a low blow with the Gale Banks comment. No offense intended on my part either.
