Question Tonneau Covers

Looking for a "non-fabric" tonneau. One key criteria is that it must be easy to remove. Anyone have any experiences with folding covers or roll-up covers?
TIA
Doug

I have a fiberglass toneau on mine. It's easy to remove but it's pretty heavy. If you get one make sure you install the bed and tailgate covers to keep it from rubbing the paint off.

I had a 95 long bed with the roll-n-loc cover. Was aluminum and pretty solid. Came out one day and found my 5 year old using it as a trapoline.

The Roll-n-loc was the best of both worlds, solid so could loc up items in the bed and rolled up into a case at the front of the bed. Took up about a foot but wasn't in the way when I wanted to tow with the 5th wheel.

It did not however come off very easily. It definetly was a permanent mount.

I have one of the undercover tonnau. It is made of abs plastick in black. I love it.It is so tough that I stand on it to dry the roof of my truck. It also takes about 1 minute to take it off.
also if you have things that are taller than the bed sides like a caulk gun handle sticking out of a bucket , you can slam it shut and it did nothing to the tonnau. Lets see a fiberglass one do that...

I have the Roll N lock or whatever...lol I am too lazy to go and check it, It just has the stretchy stuff over it and velcros down, no drilling or anything, super easy, just roll it up when you need the bed, it is almost like a bed roll...and if it gets ripped or anything you can go out and buy a new one for about 100 bucks I guess??? Thats what the original owner told me. I really like it though, makes my bed waterproof and all that stuff, really a good little cover. ( Keeps nosey high schoolers out of my bed when I am in the student parking lot too)

I just installed my diamondback truck cover. I love it so far. 3pieces so it is managable for a one person install/removal.

I have the Advance Folding cover and I have had it now for about a year. I do alot of road travel gravel/pavement/other for my business so it sees alot of abuse.

The cover is 4 panels and the front panel opens to allow access to the front of the box ( for my tools, fire extinguisher, fuel conditioner, etc) and then the rear panels fold up on top of the front panel for access to the rear 3/4 of the box. So if you had a 5ver, you could uncover your hitch and re-cover whenever you wish.

The entire panel setup comes off in about 10 minutes (or less) by removing the hinge clips on the panel 1-2 hinge. There are a few small rail pieces that remain, but you then have complete access to the box, or if you have a camper, you would be hooked up in no time.

I know a friend of mine that has a roll-n-lock and it has problems with ice in the winter and he has a camper. It takes him about 2 hours to get the roll-n-lock out and get the camper in. He wants to trade me for that reason alone..LOL...

The panels are not as strong as the roll-n-lock, so they can be damaged with heavy items. But my wife can open the lid without too much effort, and unlike the fiberglass units, I can remove the entire system myself and just put it in the garage against the wall..

Take a boo at the demo...

Jason,
That cover sounds like it might fit the bill! Where did you get it?
