Time for something new...Suggestions?

Well, I'm not going to be pulling my skidsteer nearly as much this year, so I'm starting to think about changing up my current setup. Make it a little more fun. Thinking about switching out the V5 to a comp, what do you all think? I don't think I want to risk piercing the pump wire, that's asking too much of the old girl. Any ideas on what would make it a fun daily driver, and still let me tow 10,000 lbs on the weekends? Don't want to break the bank too bad either, trying to keep it $1000 or under. I like it alot now, but bigger and badder is always better, as you all know.

You could find out if theres someone in your area with a Smarty that would let you give it a try. I bet you will like it. Good luck on whatever you decide on.

I wouldn't mind trying a smarty. Don't know who's got one.

Tim has one (Smarty). I don't think a Smarty will get you what you want over the VA. IMO They both net about the same power. Think about some bigger injectors or tap the wire. Turbo might help if you have enough fuel to push it.

I guess head studs or an exhaust brake would be no fun =\
A turbo upgrade would be fun though
..... maybe even meth?

I do have an exhaust brake, gotta get Tim to hook it up for me. Also have a tow lock system that goes with it. But for speed I was kinda thinking about a comp or TST, not sure which one. I'm scared to tap the wire, she'll probably croak right there the first time I get on it. I can probably be talked into it though

Turbos and studs and all that are out right now, too much $$$! Injectors maybe, I still need to be able to tow sometimes. What injectors would give me a step up from 1.6's, but not get too hot, considering I've got the stock turbo?

You can get a pump cover and not have to tap the wire.
