Thuren, Solid Steel and/or DSS

Which one(s)?
Should I get a Thuren trac bar or should I get a solid steel conversion and an 03 and up trac bar?
Price wise, I see it as:

Thuren bar, 300.00

or

Conversion kit, 160.00
Stock 03 tracbar ?

Also, I'm going to order a DSS too. Which should be the most drastic in helping my steering slop?

P.S. Anyone know how much a stock 03 and up trac bar is? How about where to get better prices on this set up, please please let me know!

I believe that's right about the 03 trac bar.

Thumbs up

If you have leveling springs on the truck, go w/ the Thuren. You can recenter the axle.

I choose Thuren because it was fairly inexpensive (compared to Solid Steel) bulletproof, and fairly easy to install.

I love mine.

So did the thuren cure all the problems or did you have to get the conversion later?

That's what I did- DSS a while back and Thuren TB. All is well now. Fixed the wander and the death wobble. I don't have the long term test as I just got the track bar in this weekend, but man does it steer nice now!

I think you should have a 2" leveling kit to clear the Thuren bar, which is what I have, but I do have a buddy at stock height and it barely touches at full lock with no ill effect.

Another for Thuren...After I talked to Don, I knew I wanted to spend my money with him. He answered all my questions honestly, and helped me out on another problem!

I also like the rebuildable aspect of his parts!

If I recall the stock 3rd gen track bar is about 240ish. Have not used Thuren so cant speak about his stuff. Solid Steel also has an adjustable track bar to use instead of the stocker if you are going to lift it. I have been quite happy with the dss and 3rd gen trac bar conversion from Solid Steel.

One thing to remember about the Solid Steel Ind. 3rd gen. bracket is you should bolt it AND WELD it according to some sources I've talked to. Probably more expesive as a package too with the $150 bracket and sounds like the 3rd gen bar is over $200 so seems easier and by most reports better to just do the Thuren bar as long as Don thinks you have clearance.
