After I installed a Smarty on my truck about 7 years ago, the throttle sensor started acting up. The constant surging has drove me insane ever since. I have replaced it before, but the problem seems to have gotten worse. Now whenever I use the cruise control, the truck idles up to around 1500 rpm and stays there, and I have to pop the clutch in 6th to get the dang thing to die. My theory is that the cold-idle program from the Smarty is stuck in my ECM and is playing hell with the sensor. I have tried to reset it before, but Im curious if an ECM reflash will cure this problem. Any help is appreciated.
