I had to a lot of peruasion (rubber mallet style) on mine too. It was not a slip fit.

I've got the PSC stabilizer and am very happy.

Construction appears first rate, best price I could find and it went on quickly. My bearing slid on the nose of the nut smoothly by hand. If you get one thats overly tight I'd make them send you another bearing and nut, you shouldn't have to beat it on.

major difference between psc and bd's? I think this will be my next upgrade as I can't stand my steering right now.

I got the PSC stabilzer installed today, Very simple install, though a second hand would be helpful when putting everything back together, a jack stand will work but another set of arms would be better. The hardest part was putting the bearing over the pitman shaft nut. It was not a "slip fit" as the direction say. I had to take a 1" socket and use that as a guid to beat the bearing up into place. I am very pleased with the results, it is a must do on these trucks. The steering is much tighter and tracks straight when i let my hands off the steering wheel, before it use to pull to the right. Anyone thinking about putting one of these units on there truck, do it, you will be amazed how it tighten things up.

My bearing went right on the shaft. It was a perfect fit. I also used my knee to hold the bracket up while bolting it in place (laying on my back).
