Question Thoughts on coolers

Ok guys I need some ideas here.
Since installing the twins I had to remove the trannys heat exchanger and need to come up with a better system than I have now for maintaining tranny temps. With the tight converter during stop and go (unlock) she gets hot fairly quick but once in lock-up it drops to cold (gauge starts at 120) right away. Another consern I have is in the cooler months I cant get the temp up to a comfortable level most trips without the heat exchanger. The system was thru the exchanger then to the cooler then to the pan, would it not be better to run the exchanger last and have it warm the cooled oil to engine temp? My thought was to run from the trans to a big cooler that was mounted under the box with a temp controled fan and then thru the heat exchanger then back to the pan? I just dont like the way it runs either to hot or to cold. Has anyone done anything similar or......?
Thanks

I read a thread somewhere about a guy who ditched his stock exchanger and cooler and went with one of the fan units mounted under the bed. He said that tranny temps
skyrocketed and he ended up using it in series with the stock stuff. If you are worried about not being warm enough you could rerout the exchanger in last but you would lose the benefit of the extra cooler so your hot problem would still be there. You could also cover the air cooler behind the grill to warm it up a little. Personally I would be more worried about being to hot than too cold.

I already have three of those, just none that small (64,100,150) and she still gets hot idling.
