For those with an Auto and have dyno'd

I want to dyno my truck, how are you guys dyno'ing the auto?

Start at 55-ish in O/D and mat the throttle. With a 24V you won't go past the torque peak RPM before the turbo spools, and the torque convertor will stay locked.

Or, hook up a "mystery switch" and do it in third.... but read up before you do that.

With an auto w/o a lock up switch you'll have to take it up till about 70 mph in O/D then lay the hammer. If you have a lock up switch, use the rpm gauge, once in lock up. I would say start at around 1200 rpm or so.

Exactly, with the L/U switch you will probaly see a little higher number, more "time" for turbo spoolup.

On a Dynojet Dyno- in overdrive/lockup... as described above.
On a Mustang Dyno - Do it in third, with OD locked out. Closer to 1:1 gear ratio and more acurate readings. Easier on the engine too, I think.
