Thinking

Okay guys, I found a 99 Cummins 2500 4x4 at a local dealer, I went and looked at it today,

She fired right up and ran great

1. It has a full set of banks gauges,
2. Air raid intake
3. Banks hi Ram thing
4. 4 Inch straight pipe

Now when i drove the truck, it boosted to 32 psi to the floor with NO smoke, Is that normal boost? it made a noise when the boost dropped like it had something on the waste gate like a blow off valve,, It ran great and still got 19.5 mpg the whole time i drove it, I has 127000 miles on it, Paints in good shape,

I was thinking of when and if i buy the truck, I want a programmer, Im not talking about crazy power, or twin turbos, I want a nice dd that when i mat it, It lets people know it can scream, I was thinking edge juice but i dont need all the monitors that has with it,

any suggestions,

thanks

Heres a link to this truck http://www.garrysautosales.com/vehic....html#Features

Now as i was reading the threads, I found this one. Its 2 years newer but has twice the mileage but its half the price, http://www.performancedieseltrucks.c...01-H4757A.html

Which truck are you guys thinking is the better buy?

Stock boost is generally 20-25 psi. It probably has a programmer or piggy back unit, like an Edge EZ. The sound you hear when you let off was compressor surge. Don't do that, it will ruin the thrust bearing in the turbo if that keeps up.

this is the truck im leaning more towards, It has higher miles, but everything ive read on here, thats nothing for a cummins and its a good price and they dont have the cracking black issues to deal with, i dont plan on making huge power, just the power elbow, and a tuner, Thats prob about it. its already got the exhaust so i think im getting a good buy, any imput would be great

A set of RV275's and an Edge EZ will wake up any 24v. Slightly improved mileage too.
